What the computers of the future look like

Perhaps no other symbol of technology represents the future quite like the computer. In almost everything considered ‘advanced,’ computers in one way or another are involved. From self-driving vehicles to robotics, future tech is anchored in computers.

Computers are now riding the technological evolution. These machines now charge at the forefront, gathering and absorbing every change and every update developed for them. While the physical features of desktops and laptops may not see much of a revolutionary alteration, their functions take on a more intense transformation. And this goes for smartphones as well, since these devices may be considered computers in themselves.

Data processing has been supercharged with the development of not just quad-core, but hexa- and octa-core processors. In the near future, it may only take nanoseconds for computers to load more complex programs. Sure, this may seem like the stuff of science fiction films, but many of the innovations the world enjoys now were once thought of in the same light.

Less than two decades ago, laptops only had 50-100 GB of storage space, and that was considered huge. Nowadays, the norm is 1TB. And with the continued expansion of cloud services, storage may soon be virtually unlimited.

What do you think the computers of the future will be like? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
